    Roanoke Food Adventures

I try to look for local mini-adventures that don’t require us to spend a lot of money or take off time from work to do since our weekends are filled with lesson planning and grading. Facebook is a great source for these mini-adventures, and thanks to Facebook the Roanoke Jewish Food Festival has been on my calendar for weeks. A Stop on the Saucony Run Your World Event.

Last night I went to the Saucony Run Your World Event that I mentioned a couple of weeks ago. It was a nice little mid-week adventure break in a hectic week at school.   The event started with a workout with a local gym. Running I had an excellent run with my group on Saturday morning. I am making friends there and enjoyed running and talking with the other women. When I got home, I signed up for the Time Traveler Pi-miler race. The race starts at 1:50 am on November 5, to coincide with the time change, so ideally you finish before you started. I am not a night person, but it really sounds like a fun time. I…
