Is fall cleaning a thing? If not, maybe it should be. This was a weekend for running (and run planning), the beginning of fall cleaning, and I’ve even got a restaurant recommendation for you.
I had an excellent run with my group on Saturday morning. I am making friends there and enjoyed running and talking with the other women. When I got home, I signed up for the Time Traveler Pi-miler race. The race starts at 1:50 am on November 5, to coincide with the time change, so ideally you finish before you started. I am not a night person, but it really sounds like a fun time.
I also signed up for the Saucony Run Your World Tour. It sounds like an interesting cross between a workout and happy hour. I’ll have to report back to you on it.
I also convinced Mr. LLA to sign up for a 5k with me! We will be walking the Drumstick dash together.
I’ve read a few articles on minimalistic living lately. I know I have too much stuff. You would think that all the moving I have done the past few years would have forced me to get rid of it, but alas. One particular irksome thing I have moved multiple times is a filing cabinet of old statements and paperwork. I wasn’t comfortable throwing the papers away, but I didn’t know what to do with them. I saw an ad for a Shred-a-thon hosted by the local sheriff’s office, and I boxed all of those papers up and shredded them on Saturday morning! What a relief.
Mr. LLA wanted to try a restaurant we saw a few weeks ago. It has a weird name, but excellent food – Bobby’s Hot & Cheesy. If you come to Roanoke and you are a pizza fan, you must visit this place. It was hands-down the BEST pizza I have had in recent memory. Maybe ever. I am usually not a crust person, and regularly leave behind the “pizza bones”, but this crust is flavorful, chewy, and I couldn’t stop eating it.
I got the Hot Fun Guy (garlic mushrooms, fresh thyme, jalapenos & cheese ) and Mr. LLA got the Bacon Blue (bacon, balsamic sweet onions, gorgonzola & ranch). We will be going back.
